Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting this evening; With officials and representatives of private sector companies that manufacture electricity supplies in the National Project for the Development and Development of Egyptian Villages.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister reiterated that the national project for the development and development of Egyptian villages, which comes within the presidential initiative “A Dignified Life,” is receiving great attention from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, as it will contribute to changing the reality of millions of Egyptians living in those villages. He added that this project requires the provision of industrial supplies and products to implement the proposed projects to develop and develop Egyptian villages, the cost of which ranges between 200 and 250 billion pounds, out of a total of more than 500 billion pounds, the value of the cost of developing these villages.
He referred to the president’s mandate to rely on local products, and to stress the importance of supporting the national industry to provide those requirements that are included in the implementation of projects in the various sectors.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister praised the unprecedented scale of projects implemented in the electricity and renewable energy sector during the past years, indicating that there is a challenge facing us in this regard, which is the development of the distribution network, stressing that this national project will contribute significantly to the development of the network at the level of the Republic. .
He also indicated that the Ministry of Electricity has already prepared a comprehensive inventory of the various needs and requirements of the targeted villages in the current stage of the Egyptian Village Development Project, assuring representatives of companies that manufacture the supplies required for electrical projects, that all project needs will be presented with the standardization of their specifications. At the same time, there will be a central purchase of those supplies and needs, because our goal is for all existing factories in Egypt to benefit, provided that their products comply with the required technical specifications.
Addressing company officials, the Prime Minister added: Contracts will be made with companies on the entire project for about 175 centers nationwide, not the 51 centers in the first phase only, and therefore we ask you for the best products and the best prices possible. Due to the large volume of needs required, which will be required to supply the project for several years.
