The Senate Energy, Environment, and Workforce Committee held a meeting chaired by Deputy Abdel-Khaleq Ayyad, head of the committee; To discuss the new draft labor law submitted by the government, today, Tuesday, in the presence of the Minister of Manpower, Mohamed Saafan, and representatives of the ministries of Industry, Trade, Social Solidarity, Justice and Finance.
The Minister of Manpower emphasized that the philosophy of the new draft law is based on applying the principle of justice and balance between the two sides of the production process, namely employers and workers, to preserve the rights and interests of each, noting that the draft law fully took into account the rights of working women.
He explained that a societal dialogue was conducted with all parties until a legislative vision was reached that serves the investment and work climate and is in line with international laws and agreements.
For his part, the head of the committee, Engineer Abdel-Khaleq Ayyad, praised the draft law, stressing the keenness of the members of the committee that the law come out in a way that is in line with the positive changes that Egypt has witnessed in the past few years, and that it is suitable for the medium and long future to ensure a balance between stability and job security for the worker while preserving the rights of owners Business.
