The Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Mr. Al-Qusayr, and the Governor of Gharbia, Dr. Tariq Rahmi, inspected the semi-automated slaughterhouse for calves and sheep in the village of “Shabhir Al-Hessa”, in preparation for its opening.
This comes within the framework of the visit of the Minister of Agriculture, accompanied by a number of ministry leaders, to Gharbia Governorate to inspect a number of agricultural projects there.
The Minister and Governor of Gharbia listened to a presentation by Dr. Hatem Kamal, Director of the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine in the governorate, on the general plan of the project and its components, and the stages of its operation and work.
The slaughterhouse’s operational capacity is 70 heads per hour, and it covers the meat needs of citizens from the villages of Tanta and Mahalla centers. The slaughterhouse is also determined to increase its operational capacity in the future, as it includes a water treatment plant and animal waste recycling station to preserve the environment.
