Gamea: Egypt aims to attract about 2.5 million visitors to the pavilion
Minister of Trade and Industry Nevin Gamea inaugurated the Egyptian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, which is located on a display area of 3,000 square meters and will continue its activities over the next six months.
The Minister officially inaugurated the works and activities of the Egyptian pavilion, in the presence of Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth of the UAE, Sherif El Badiwi, the Egyptian Ambassador to the UAE, and Ashraf El Deeb, Consul General of Egypt in Dubai.
The minister said that the Egyptian pavilion is one of the most important pavilions participating in the Expo, as it is located in the Opportunity area next to the UAE pavilion, which reflects the strategic and fraternal relations linking the two countries.
Jameh added that the distinguished participation of the Egyptian state reflects Egypt’s keenness to make this session a success, which is being held for the first time in an Arab country.
She explained that since the opening of the Expo last Thursday, the Egyptian pavilion has witnessed a great turnout of visitors from different countries and continents of the world, due to the pavilion’s unique contents, on top of which is the archaeological sarcophagus of the priest Basmatik, which lists the ancient Egyptian faith and principles that made the ancient civilization of Egypt, as well as a number of Pharaonic reproductions that will have A major role in attracting millions of visitors during the Expo period, as well as an interesting presentation of all the developments that Egypt is currently witnessing and the achievements that have been made, especially in the fields of industry, infrastructure, smart cities and national projects, through interactive screens with the highest technologies.
She indicated that preparations and coordination are underway between the various ministries and concerned Egyptian authorities to start the scheduled events in the Egyptian pavilion, which exceed 100 activities, all of which aim to promote the Egyptian state in the sectors of trade, industry, tourism, culture, health, agriculture, sports, education, energy and sustainable cities. Jameh said that Egypt aims, through its participation in this important global forum, to achieve integration with various countries of the world in various fields and at all levels, noting that the coming period will witness the organization of visits to a number of the most prominent Egyptian symbols and personalities who enjoy a global resonance to visit the pavilion and promote it, as it targets the state.
