Today, Tuesday, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, discussed with Dr. Waed Badheeb, the Yemeni Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, who is visiting Cairo as part of a high-level delegation headed by Dr. Moeen Abdul Malik, the Prime Minister, the joint economic relations between Egypt and Yemen, and ways to develop relations. Al-Mashat said, in press statements, that the meeting comes in light of the Egyptian government’s efforts to strengthen joint economic relations with the brothers in the Arab region, and in continuation of the talks held with the Egyptian and Yemeni governments headed by the prime ministers of the two countries.
She affirmed Egypt’s readiness to provide any possible support to the Yemeni government, especially in the field of qualifying and preparing Yemeni cadres in various fields, based on the bonds of brotherhood and the historical relationship between the two countries, and the political leadership’s keenness to deepen cooperation with brotherly Yemen, advance relations in various fields, and support it to overcome challenges. .
The Minister of International Cooperation referred to the accumulated Egyptian experiences and the depth of relations with multilateral and bilateral development partners, which resulted in many success stories to support development projects and the state’s efforts in various fields, pointing out that the Ministry of International Cooperation is, in accordance with the role entrusted with it, strengthening relations with international institutions and partners. Bilateral, multilateral and United Nations organizations to advance the country’s efforts towards achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
She explained that Egypt deals with many multilateral development partners such as the World Bank, the European Investment Bank, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as bilaterals such as the US Agency for Development and the Japan International Cooperation Agency, as well as the Korean International Cooperation Agency.
