The Ministry of Finance provided an amount of 295 million pounds in favor of the Unified Purchase Authority to purchase seasonal influenza vaccines as part of the government’s plan to strengthen the medical sector.
The financial statement for the current fiscal year budget during the first 6 months of the fiscal year said that the financing came in the form of a good loan.
He added that the total support for the public health sector amounted to 8.2 billion pounds, of which 7.1 billion pounds to the Ministry of Health and Population’s general office.
The statement stated that the ministry had reinforced the university hospital sector with a value of 591 million pounds in addition to 70 million pounds for the benefit of Al-Azhar University hospitals.
The ministry stated that the specialized medical centers secretariat received 119 million pounds in support during the first half of the current fiscal year.
