Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting, yesterday evening, Thursday, with Michael Shammer, CEO of Siemens “Healthcare” Germany, to discuss ways of cooperation to support the health sector in Egypt.
The meeting discussed means of cooperation in the transfer of modern technology to support the medical sector in the fields of education and training, project management, digital transformation and mechanization, scientific research and publishing, as well as cooperation in the field of smart mobile clinics.
The minister discussed aspects of cooperation with the company in equipping the National Center for Surveillance and Control of Infectious Diseases, and providing it with the latest systems in the field of handling and preserving data and information, in addition to providing the central laboratories of the Ministry of Health and its branches in all governorates with the latest modern technological devices.
The meeting dealt with the company’s support for the national project for the development of Egyptian villages by covering all health units and medical centers in the targeted villages, as well as the central hospitals affiliated with all modern medical devices, especially devices (CT scans, X-rays, and sonar).
For his part, Michael Shammarer, CEO of the German “Healthcare” company, Siemens, affirmed the company’s keenness to support the health sector in Egypt, and to supply it with all means of technology and modern medical devices.
