The Moroccan newspaper “Akhbar Al-Youm” has stopped publishing due to a financial crisis afflicting it, while its publishing director and editor-in-chief is serving prison terms.

The administration has not announced when the newspaper will be closed, but journalists in the editorial department said that the latest issue was released on Monday.

The announcement that Akhbar Al-Youm newspaper will be suspended from publication comes after judicial prosecutions of three of its journalists. Their supporters saw them as political issues.
