Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, said that the total American investments in Egypt amounted to 22.8 billion dollars until June 2020, in addition to the presence of more than 1,600 companies operating in Egypt, including American investors in various sectors, especially the services sector, oil and gas, manufacturing and finance.
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, delivered a speech today, under the title “Egypt 2021 and Beyond,” during the meeting organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Cairo, in the presence of Ahmed Kajouk, Deputy Minister of Finance for Financial Policy, and Omar Muhanna, Chairman of the Egyptian-American Business Council Dalia Wahba, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, Khaled Abu Bakr, and members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors in Cairo, through the “video conference” technology, with the participation of Meron Brillant, Executive Vice President and Head of the Chamber’s International Affairs Department, Silvia Minsa, CEO of the Chamber in Cairo, and some former Presidents of the Chamber , And a number of its members.
The Prime Minister thanked all the participants and those responsible for preparing and organizing this meeting well, and expressed the government’s aspiration to attract more direct investments from the United States to Egypt.
He stressed Egypt’s constant support and continuous encouragement for American companies to expand and double their business in Egypt, as – without any doubt – they will bring technology and knowledge, and he also indicated that the deep involvement of these companies in the Egyptian economy is only a reflection of the strategic relationship between the two countries.
