Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting today; To follow up the executive position of development and service projects in Cairo Governorate.
The meeting was attended by Major General Mahmoud Sharawi, Minister of Local Development, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Asim Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Major General Khaled Abdel Al, Governor of Cairo, Major General Ibrahim Abdel Hadi, Deputy Governor, and a number of officials of the concerned authorities.
The Prime Minister affirmed that there is a periodic follow-up by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, of all development and service projects that are being implemented in the Cairo governorate, especially projects to develop informal areas, thanking in this regard the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Security Directorate, Likewise, the Cairo governorate, on the efforts made to remove slums, and resettle the Prime Time Zone of these areas in decent housing projects that the state implements.
Madbouly indicated that the Ministry of Social Solidarity has been mandated to expedite furnishing housing units that have been completed, in order to accommodate the deserving Prime Time Zone of our slum-dwellers as soon as possible.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister was informed of the situation of demolitions of buildings that conflict with the development work of the Ring Road around the Greater Cairo Region, indicating that a directive was made to provide financial allocations of 500 million pounds to disburse the required compensation So that the implementation of these removals will be accelerated, and the beneficiaries will be compensated.
Counselor Nader Saad, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, said that the meeting witnessed a review of the position of the implementation of the “Al-Khayala Land” project, which is located in Al-Basateen neighborhood in the south of the Cairo governorate, which includes 2525 housing units on a land area of about 40 acres, and includes all the required services Which is represented in establishing a medical center, youth center, school complex, parks and markets; In order to achieve full stability for the citizens transferred to it.
