Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, met Major General Ahmed Rashid, Governor of Giza, to review the position of a number of projects being implemented in the governorate.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the great interest of the state in the work of developing Egyptian cities by raising the efficiency of roads and upgrading services related to citizens, in the framework of keenness to reach a civilized image of Egyptian cities to meet the citizens’ requirements in an optimal way.
The meeting dealt with the proposal to develop the Nazlet al-Samman area, “Sin al-Agouz,” which is located under the foot of the pyramid. The governor presented the current position of buildings and roads in the targeted area.
He explained that the area targeted for development extends between Haram Street in the east, Abu Al Houl Tourist Street in the west, and Mansouriya Street in the south, while it is bordered on the north by the foot of the pyramids.
The governor also discussed the position of developing the Mansouriya axis, starting from Al Haram Street to the Southern Ring Road, where he referred to the results of counting the violations of the planning line on Mansouriya Street.
He also presented the position of developing the roads branching from the Mansouriya axis, most notably Mohamed Anwar Sadat Street “Tersa”.
Major General Ahmed Rashid also discussed during the meeting the proposal to develop the Mariouteya corridor, where he presented the results of the project to develop the Mariouteya canal, with a length of 3.5 km, at a cost of 315 million pounds, to become in a distinctive civilized form.
He also referred to the opening of the Mariouteya parking complex, the project to construct Street 306 in Mariouteya, and other aesthetic images that radically changed the features of the Mariouteya axis.
