Abdullah Hamdok, the Sudanese Prime Minister, met with the delegation of the Egyptian Citadel Holding Company, headed by Ahmed Heikal, the company’s chairman, and in the presence of the Ministers of Energy and Transport, and the Prime Minister’s Adviser for International Cooperation, Aisha Al-Barir.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister welcomed the company’s delegation, and reviewed the economic reforms undertaken by the government in the field of creating an investment climate, represented in unifying the exchange rate and amending the investment law.
Hamdok directed the relevant ministries to tighten coordination and cooperation with the Citadel Company, especially with regard to the solar energy project, as it is one of the important projects and comes in the priorities of the transitional government.
The meeting discussed the gas and solar energy projects that the company intends to implement in Sudan.
It is noteworthy that the company’s delegation has reached advanced points with the Ministry of Energy and will hold a meeting with the Ministry of Investment during the next two days.
