Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, said that the government is working to speed up the completion of all projects to develop historic Cairo and slum areas, which receive great attention and follow-up from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in order to restore the historical areas to their splendor and civilized appearance, and to provide a modern environment for the citizen Al-Masry, in line with the comprehensive development renaissance that the Egyptian state is currently witnessing.
The Prime Minister inspected the Ain El Sira Lake Development Project; To find out the rates of implementation of development work in it. Madbouly toured the site of the Ain El Sira development project, which is taking place on an area of 63 acres, to inspect the implementation of the works, which include the implementation of a tourist walkway around the lake with a length of 2500 meters long, a restaurant area, a tropical island in the middle of the lake, an open theater, green areas, wooden pergolas, and 5 groups Fountains floating in the lake, and a lake water treatment plant.
Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, explained the components of the project in detail, noting that it includes the development of a sulphurous water lake with an area of 23 acres, the implementation of green areas and parks on an area of 13 acres, in addition to the implementation of pedestrian paths and meeting areas with a length of 2500 meters, in addition to the cafeteria Square Tea with an area of 900 square meters, and a tropical island cafeteria with an area of 1,200 square meters, as well as 5 illuminated fountains.
The Minister of Housing also dealt with a presentation on the facilities, restaurants and services of the project, stating that it includes 4 restaurant buildings with an area of 1.5 acres, an external wall around the project with a length of 2,400 meters, parking areas with a capacity of 425 cars, 3 gates and entrances to the project, and 4 public bathrooms to serve the project pioneers.
Al-Jazzar said: The project’s service buildings include the implementation of a water tank and fire extinguishing, a cloudy water tank for irrigating crops and open areas, in addition to a main power station to feed the project with electricity, and subsidiary electricity stations.
The minister also talked about the infrastructure and facilities, explaining that they include an irrigation network for green areas, a fire network, a water supply network, another for sanitation, a covered drainage network for groundwater, and a treatment and purification plant for lake water.
Regarding the executive position of the Ain Al Sira Lake Development Project, Al-Jazzar indicated that the dredging and cutting works have been completed in the regular and rocky soil to expand the lake, the backfilling and razing works have also been completed, the surveying works and the net budget have also been completed, and the waste removal operations have ended. From the site and the leveling works with an area of 123.6 thousand square meters, and after that the replacement soil was supplied to form the inclinations of the landscape, in addition to the supply and assembly of fountain components, and the completion of the installation of 13 fountains.
Al-Jazzar said that the cultivation of the grass, palms and trees is currently underway, including the drip and sprinkler irrigation network, and replacement layers and casting of the main and subsidiary walkways are currently being implemented, indicating that the process of supplying and installing marble works is 100% complete, in addition to the completion of the iron bridge installation for the island, and floors. Besides, the Minister informed the Prime Minister of the completion of the casting of the piles for the tanks; Irrigation, water, fire, the main restaurant, and two restaurants in the northern region, pointing also to the completion of the process of casting the fence and installing the pools at a rate of 40%, as well as pouring the floor of the tea yard, installing the pergola on the square and the pergolas of the island, in addition to the completion of the casting of the floor of the treatment plant.
