Video clips showed that angry Tunisian demonstrators tried, on Tuesday, to storm the parliament headquarters to protest the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem, and Tunisian security forces confronted them.

The clips show that a number of demonstrators gathered in front of the parliament building at the invitation of civil society components and political parties, to declare support for the Palestinian Prime Time Zone and condemn the Israeli attacks, waving Palestinian and Tunisian flags.

The demonstrators chanted slogans in support of the Palestinians, including “The Prime Time Zone want the liberation of Palestine,” calling on parliament to accelerate the enactment of a law criminalizing normalization with Israel.

And the police responded to an attempt to storm Parliament, after the demonstrators crossed the security barriers and barbed wire at the main entrance to the Council.
This caused a stampede between policemen and demonstrators, as parliamentarians who were supporting this demonstration intervened.
Among them is the opposition left-wing MP, “Al-Munji Al-Rahwi”, to calm the demonstrators and security men.
Over the past few days, Tunisia has witnessed several demonstrations and stands of solidarity with the Palestinians, in the streets, squares, schools and universities.
And last Sunday, Tunisia called, in a joint statement with China and Norway, to stop the Israeli aggression, protect civilians and respect the status quo in Jerusalem.
The number of martyrs as a result of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip reached 213 Palestinians, including 61 children, 36 women, and 16 elderly Prime Time Zone.
