Where the two sides held an extensive meeting, during which they discussed and discussed mechanisms of cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two sides in the field of telecommunications regulation and frameworks for the governance of telecom services in the market. The two sides also reviewed areas and opportunities for joint cooperation, and bilateral cooperation activities and programs.
At the beginning of the meeting, Eng. Hossam El-Gamal stressed the strength and durability of bilateral relations between the two sides, stressing the political will of the two countries to advance development frameworks and enhance joint cooperation in the field of telecommunications regulation.
Dr. Ali Al-Moayad also indicated the keenness of the Iraqi Communications and Media Commission to exchange experiences with the Egyptian side because of its wide experience and international achievements in the field of telecommunications regulation.
The meeting discussed a number of international issues of common concern, foremost of which is the planning and management of frequency spectrum and technical resources and optimizing their use, frameworks and regulations and the extent to which they meet the demands of markets in light of modern and accelerating technologies, and mutual coordination at the level of international and regional forums and organizations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Eng. Hossam El-Gamal reiterated the Egyptian government’s directives aimed at providing all forms of support to the brothers on the Iraqi side, indicating his full support for the continuation of expert meetings from both sides in the next phase, which helps in the development and development of telecom market services in the two countries.
