In a new normalization step between the UAE and Israel, the UAE government signed a new memorandum of understanding with a Jewish company.
In details, the UAE, through the Dubai Ports World Free Zone, signed a memorandum of understanding with a Jewish company called “Star Key Kosher”.
This comes in order to work on spreading awareness to its partners in the food products sector of the requirements of kosher certification. It is “foods that comply with Jewish law.”
The “Jafza” free zone contains an agglomeration that works specifically in the field of food and agriculture, and its area is approximately 1.57 million square meters.
It also consists of more than 550 companies from more than 70 countries, and employs more than six thousand employees.
Regarding the distribution of these companies, about 38 percent of these companies belong to the Middle East region, and 23 percent to Asia.
This is in addition to 19 percent belonging to Europe, 10 percent to Africa, 8 percent to South America, and 1 percent to Oceania.
The UAE is a melting pot of all cultures!
In the same context, Ahmed Al-Haddad, Executive Director of Operations at Business Parks and Free Zones, said at DP World. The UAE is a “melting pot” of all cultures, and a society that accepts different traditions.
Al-Haddad CEO also predicted that with the start of relations between the UAE and Israel. Demand will increase for food that conforms to Kosher standards that are “kosher”.
For his part, Rabbi Aharon Haskell, President of Star Key Kosher, said that for more than 50 years they have been supervising the issuance of certificates of compliance with Kosher requirements.
The UAE began to normalize its relations with Israel last August. In a move that represented a historic betrayal of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian Prime Time Zone.
The UAE also increases, on a daily basis, the normalization of its relations with the Israeli side. With steps that reached all social, political, economic, sports and security levels.
