The General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and the Egypt Holding Insurance Group will sign a protocol on Monday to provide insurance protection for merchants who are members of the Federation’s chambers nationwide and their families.

Engineer Ibrahim Al-Arabi, President of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and President of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, said that the protocol deals with the agreement to support the businessmen community and chambers of commerce through coordination between the union and the two companies, “Misr Insurance and Misr Life Insurance Company”, with the aim of providing the best insurance service for merchants who are affiliated with the chambers of commerce. .

Al-Arabi indicated to the “Stock Exchange” that the cooperation between the two parties will take place in accordance with the terms and obligations of the insurance contracts that will be concluded between the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and the “Holding Insurance Company”, represented by both Egypt Insurance Company and Misr Life Insurance Company.

The president of the federation stated that the two parties will coordinate with each other to form a joint executive committee to implement the contracting steps between the union and the two insurance companies affiliated with Egypt Insurance Holding Company to provide insurance services and facilitate their procedures.

For his part, Basil El Henri, head of the “Holding Insurance” group, said that the protocol includes providing comprehensive insurance coverage to traders, their families and their properties, whether the risks to which the assets owned by them through Misr Insurance Company are exposed or to which they and their families may be exposed to from Misr Life Insurance Company.

Al-Enni added to the “Stock Exchange” that the protocol aims to coordinate efforts to ensure the best insurance service is provided to merchants from members of the Federation’s Chambers of Commerce, through direct dealings with insurance companies owned by Misr Insurance Holding Company.

In a related context, Al-Enni explained that the group of companies owned by the Insurance Holding Company participated in many initiatives aimed at providing a decent life for citizens during the past years, including safety certificates for seasonal and temporary employment, and support for irregular seasonal employment in light of the Coronavirus pandemic, in addition to support Doctors and the provision of medical supplies and devices to some hospitals.

The signing of the protocol is expected to be witnessed by Basil El Henry, Chairman of Misr Insurance Holding Group, and Engineer Ibrahim Mahmoud El-Araby, President of the General Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, in the presence of a number of leaders of the General Union of the Chamber of Commerce, Omar Judeh, President of Misr Insurance Company, and Dr. Ahmed Abdulaziz, President of Misr Life Insurance Company.
