Emirati academic Abdul Khaleq Abdullah directed a request to the Lebanese broadcaster on the Qatari Al-Jazeera channel, Ghada Awais, to drop the lawsuits that were filed against Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, and another group of officials from the two countries.
She accused “Owais” in calling “Bin Zayed” and “Bin Salman” of targeting her with piracy, extortion and fabricating nude photos of her.
Abdel Khaleq Abdullah’s request came in his tweet in response to a question by “Aweys,” in which she said: “Does this mean that you will reappear on the island, Doctor, as you appeared with me behind the news a few months before the siege? We are no longer “bad” are we?

Abdul Khaleq Abdullah does not mind appearing on “Al Jazeera”
Abdul Khaleq Abdullah said: “I will visit Doha on the nearest Emirates flight to check on family and meet colleagues to confirm brotherhood and renew affection. It is okay for a personal guest to appear on the island in a frank dialogue to bypass the bitterness of boycott and the sediments of estrangement and to hold the“ bad guys ”accountable. Pre-reconciliation. ”
I will visit Doha on the nearest Emirates flight to check on family and meet colleagues to confirm brotherhood and renew affection. There is nothing wrong with the appearance of a guest on the island in a frank dialogue to overcome the bitterness of boycott and the sediments of estrangement and hold the “bad guys” accountable. All this requires you to take an initiative to drop claims left over from the pre-reconciliation period https: https://t.co/34qiNWU9es

Owais to Abdullah: What is important is that you did not descend to the level of insulting and indecent assault
Ghada Owais commented and said: “Personally, I have respected you since I met you behind the news, and my respect for you has continued even though I do not agree with you on your tweets at the time of the siege, but you have freedom of expression or you have your circumstances, and God knows about them. My assassination did not compel me to file these lawsuits and their aim is to protect all journalists.

Details of Ghada Owais’s suit
And in December 2020, the American “The Hill” website said that Ghada Aweys filed the case in the Southern District Court in Florida.
In her lawsuit, the Lebanese broadcaster said that the Crown Prince of the two Gulf states, along with another group of Saudi and Emirati officials and American citizens, had carried out an operation aimed at undermining her person and undermining her journalistic career. Because of her critical reports on the two governments in Saudi Arabia and the UAE
“Aweys” said that about 20 defendants in the case had coordinated among themselves to carry out a hacking of her phone and leak photos of it, in which foreign and local influential figures were used to undermine her.

Among the defendants in the case, “Sharon Collins” and “Hussam al-Jundi,” two persons residing in the state of Florida, the lawsuit alleges that they are involved in conspiracy and the commission of malicious acts targeting “Aweys”, including disseminating information and data stolen from her phone.
“The Hill” stated that “Owais” has filed the case against all local and foreign defendants responsible for targeting her with the illegal piracy operation and spreading her personal information around the world.
The lawsuit demanded that all the perpetrators be held criminally responsible for their unlawful acts and conspiracy against the Al-Jazeera broadcaster. It marks the beginning of a journey to achieve justice for “Owais”.
“The Hill” stated that the group that “Awais” filed against is the same group of Saudi and Emirati officials who allegedly carried out the deadly attack on Saudi journalist “Jamal Khashoggi” in 2018.
