UAE approves import of Egyptian processed poultry and its products

Al-Qusayr, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, announced the opening of the door for exporting processed poultry and its products to the United Arab Emirates.

The General Authority for Veterinary Services received a letter from the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment in the UAE, regarding the approval of the health certificate form for the export of processed and heat-treated “cows, sheep, goats and poultry” meat and their products, after studying the Egyptian health situation by the Emirati side.

Al-Qusair said that this comes within the framework of promoting trade exchange in the field of meat export, pointing to the agreement that establishments wishing to export, whether slaughterhouses or cutting and packing facilities, review the conditions and procedures for accreditation and submit the application through the website of the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment.

Al-Qusair added that the UAE is currently importing from Egypt day-old chicks, hatching eggs and table eggs, after the World Organization for Animal Health approved that 30 Egyptian facilities are free of bird flu.
