According to Jordanian media, a judicial source said, on Thursday, that the Irbid Criminal Court criminalized one of the repeat offenders with the felony of theft, in violation of the provisions of Article 3/401 of the Penal Code, placing him in temporary work for three years and the fees calculated for him for the period of arrest.

And since it is repeated in the legal sense, the court decided to double the sentence against him so that he would be placed in temporary hard labor for a period of six years and the fees calculated for him for the period of detention.

He added that the Mafraq Criminal Court issued three rulings against one of the repeat offenders of the felony of theft, in violation of the provisions of Article 404 of the Penal Code, placing him on temporary work for three years and the fees calculated for him from the period of arrest.

And because he is repetitive in the legal sense, the court decided to double the sentence against him, so that he will be placed in temporary hard labor for a period of six years and the fees are calculated for him for the period of arrest.

In the other two judgments, the penalty against him was reduced to temporary hard labor for a period of five years and the fees calculated for him during the detention period.

And he indicated that the criminal courts are keen to activate the text of Article 101 of the Jordanian Penal Code in the event that the perpetrator of the crime is a repeat offender.

And sentences were issued against him not more than 10 years ago and did not fall from him, as the penalty imposed on the criminal must be tightened due to his criminal seriousness, as he was not deterred and returned to continue his crime by committing another crime.
