According to the US Attorney’s document, Thomas Barrack played a major role in arranging a meeting between Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on March 14, 2017.

In the same context, the American “CNN” network reported that, according to the indictment, Barak was accused along with two other Prime Time Zone, the American Matthew Grimes from Colorado, and Rashid Sultan Rashid Al-Malik Al-Shehhi, an Emirati citizen.

According to the same source, the mentioned figures will also be pursued on charges of providing intelligence information to the United Arab Emirates.

According to the accusations, Barak was in direct and indirect contact with the Emirati high command.

According to the US network, Barack and Grimes are scheduled to be summoned in Los Angeles, according to the Justice Department, while Al-Shahi has not been arrested.

Barack was a prominent supporter of Trump’s successful 2016 election campaign and ran his inaugural committee.

Federal prosecutors are seeking to keep Barak in custody, saying in a court filing that his vast fortune, the presence of private jets at his disposal and his history of international travel indicated a possible escape.

It is noteworthy that the activities of lobby groups on behalf of foreign governments are closely monitored in the United States, which traditionally considers the United Arab Emirates one of its most prominent regional allies.

Several close associates of Trump have been indicted for their activities on behalf of foreign governments. Among the most prominent of these are Paul Manafort, the former campaign manager for the Republican candidate in 2016, and Roger Stone, a former Trump adviser, who were convicted of charges related to allegations of Russian interference in the US presidential election, but Trump pardoned them at the end of his term.
