Zamalek club failed for the second time to include Ivorian midfielder Serge Aka, midfielder, in the Egyptian team El Gouna, due to the player’s request for an increase in his annual salary, which the club refused.

The Ivorian player Aka was one of the most prominent candidates by the Egyptian Zamalek administration to join him during the last period, in order to compensate for the departure of Tunisian midfielder Ferjani Sassi, who announced his departure from the Egyptian White Castle.

Reports indicated that the Ivorian player Aka, who represents an important element in his current team, El Gouna, made him a target for contracting with the two rivals, Al-Ahly and Zamalek.

The career of the Ivorian player, Aka, began his football career in the Ivorian team ASEC Mimosa, then moved to Sfaxien of Tunisia, and then moved to the ranks of Egypt’s El Gouna.

Ivorian midfielder Aka recently joined the ranks of the Ivory Coast national team training this month, to play two friendlies against Burkina Faso and Ghana, as part of preparations for the African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.

The Zamalek team is at the top of the Egyptian league standings with 61 points, far ahead of its closest rival, its traditional rival Al-Ahly, who occupies the second place in the standings with 51 points.
