The city of São Paulo woke up this Tuesday, 8, without sweeping and garbage collection services. This is because workers from the urban cleaning service went on strike and organized a protest in front of the building of the City Hall of São Paulo demanding that the category be vaccinated against Covid-19. Union that represents the workers of outsourced cleaning companies in the capital, Siemaco explained the motivation for the strike on social networks. “The urban cleaning stopped. This Tuesday, the sweeping and garbage collection services in São Paulo were paralyzed. The category has never stopped working, so it deserves vaccination, respect and recognition. No vaccine, no collection”, published the organization. So far, the City Hall has not commented on the request of the category.
