A video posted on social media outraged Internet users, after all employees and customers at a supermarket in Florida appeared without any individual protection and without respecting social distance.
Sam Brock, a reporter from NBC News, visited the supermarket in early February and “left with a story” to tell, after filming employees and customers disrespecting a Collier County order about wearing masks inside companies.
According to the journalist, almost nobody wore a mask inside the store Oakes Farms Market, in Naples. The cases of covid-19 in that North American state are, on average, 10,000 per day.
The video, published on social networks, revolted Internet users.
According to Independent, some people wrote, in the Twitter, which the supermarket owner was known as “antimáscara”. Alfie Oakes, the store owner, told the Today Show, gives NBC, that the masks don’t work and who believes that “the virus did not kill 400,000 people in this country”.
Outside the supermarket, there was a sign that warned customers that employees would not be challenged to wear a mask.
“Due to HIPPA (Health Insurance Liability and Portability Law) and the 4th Amendment, we cannot ask you legally about your health condition. So if we see him without a mask, we will assume you have a health problem and we will welcome you to support our business ”, read.
In the last 24 hours, the United States recorded 3,856 deaths from covid-19 and 104,116 cases, according to the independent count by the American Johns Hopkins University.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the country has accumulated 475,040 deaths and 27,383,639 cases of the disease, being the one that registers more deaths caused by SARS-Cov-2 and also the one with more cases of infection.
