A man was arrested by the police for illegal possession or possession of a firearm while carrying out a search and seizure warrant in Jacareí
A 41-year-old man, investigated for participating in a gang that applied scams to famous people such as Juliana Paes and Murilo Rosa, was arrested this Monday, 13, in Jacareí, in the interior of São Paulo. According to the Department of Public Safety, police officers from the city’s Sectional Police arrested the man for illegal possession or possession of a firearm while carrying out a search and seizure warrant in a house in the rural area of the city. Agents seized a .38-caliber gun in a wardrobe in the house. In May, the court denied the arrest of him and four other members of the gang for embezzlement. Criminals took the money of famous people as an investment and promised financial returns of up to 8% of the value. Juliana Paes lost R$480 thousand in the scheme.
