Survey shows that the majority of citizens reside in Greater São Paulo, which covers 262,000 absentees
More than 501 thousand people did not take the second dose of vaccine against Covid-19 no state of Sao Paulo. A survey by the São Paulo government points out that 212 thousand had not taken the second dose of Oxford vaccine and another 289 thousand absent refer to CoronaVac. The majority of those absent reside in Greater São Paulo, 262 thousand people. Of the total that did not take the second dose of the Astrazeneca compound, 80% are between 80 and 89 years old, and the rest are health professionals. Last week, the São Paulo Health Secretariat sent 279 thousand extra doses of CoronaVac to about 500 cities. Immunizers are exclusive for the second dose. The numbers were informed to the folder by the city halls in consultation held in the 645 municipalities in the last week. The coordinator of the State Immunization Program, Regiane de Paula, warns of the importance of the two applications of the vaccine. “It is essential that people look for vaccination posts to take the second dose. The person will only be fully protected after the two doses of the immunizers ”, he reinforces.
