According to the state government, 346 cities had no deaths from the disease and 31 did not register new cases
The Government of São Paulo announced that 346 municipalities in the state did not register deaths due to Covid-19 last week. Thus, more than 53% of the 645 cities in São Paulo have not had victims of the disease since 28 July. In addition, 31 municipalities had no new confirmed cases. Data analysis was carried out from the 28th of July to the 4th of August, based on official state government bulletins. The balances are higher than those identified in a similar comparison carried out in the period from 14 to 21 July, which indicated 288 municipalities with no new deaths that week. São Paulo has already vaccinated more than 80.6% of the adult population with at least one dose. About 23% have already completed the vaccination schedule.
