10 new cases of covid-19 linked to the Olympics were reported this Sunday. Among them are three athletes

Organizers of Olympics Tokyo announced on Sunday, 18, the first cases of covid-19 among competitors, according to the Reuters news agency. Games start next week.

Without giving further details, the ad said that two athletes from the same country, competing in the same sport, tested positive for covid-19. Both are staying in an athlete’s village, located in the Harumi district.

In total, 10 new cases of covid-19 linked to the Olympics were reported this Sunday, including a third athlete who was not staying in the village. It is a lower number than the 15 new cases registered this Saturday, 17.
