Colombo: Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has canceled his speech schedule in the Sri Lankan parliament, according to media reports. Khan is scheduled to address the Sri Lankan Parliament on the 24th of this month. Sri Lankan Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena has suggested that the speech schedule be canceled due to Kovid 19, the foreign ministry said. However, according to the Pakistani newspaper Dawn, some in Sri Lankan government circles seem to have expressed concern that mentioning issues like Kashmir in Khan’s speech could disrupt bilateral relations with India. Khan will be touring Sri Lanka for two days from the 22nd of this month. Khan will hold talks with Sri Lankan President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
