A Pfizer, which developed a vaccine against a Covid-19 as a BioNTech, believes that the immunization of children and teenagers between 12 and 15 years old can start before the beginning of the school year – there, it happens between August and September. This is because a study done in USA with 2,260 people of the age group showed that the doses are 100% effective in the group. Among those who received placebo, 18 were infected with the coronavirus. In those who received the vaccine, no cases were registered.

In this age group, the results showed a strong immune response one month after the second dose. In the world, the immunizer is already administered in people from 16 years old. With these data, the pharmaceutical companies will try an emergency authorization from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and yes European Medicines Agency (EMA), bodies equivalent to Anvisa, in the next weeks. In the under-12s, companies have also started to carry out tests divided into three groups: 5 to 11 years, 2 to 5 years and 6 months to 2 years.
