Pfizer’s first shipment of vaccines arrives in Brazil on the 29th – Prime Time Zone

O Ministry of Health informed that the consignments doses of the vaccine from Pfizer / BioNTech against Covid-19 will arrive in Brazil on the 29th. One million doses should be received by the Minister of Health, Marcelo Queiroga, at Viracopos airport, in Campinas. Last Wednesday, the federal government managed to anticipate 2 million doses of the immunizer manufactured by the American pharmaceutical company. In total, Brazil will receive 100 million Pfizer vaccines, of which 15.5 million are up to June.

As the pharmaceutical company has already obtained registration with the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) – it was the first in Brazil to achieve this -, the vaccine is able to be applied to the general population. However, there is still no prediction of when vaccination of groups considered as priority (the elderly and health professionals, for example) will end. In addition to Pfizer, Instituto Butantan and AstraZeneca are authorized to distribute their products in Brazil.
