Hundreds of people against the restrictions of the Germany to contain covid-19 they ignored the ban on speaking up and protested in the streets of Berlin this Sunday (1st), causing clashes with the police.
The armed forces claimed that some protesters “assaulted and attacked” their agents in the Charlottenburg neighborhood in the west of the German capital.
“They tried to break the police cord. This led to the use of irritating gases, batons and physical violence,” tweeted the Berlin police, noting that several people were arrested.
The demonstration was called by the “Querdenker” (Free Thinkers) movement, the main voice critical of health restrictions in Germany.
The court banned several of the demonstrations that this movement organized this weekend, including the one in Berlin, where the police sent more than 2,000 anti-riot agents.
