Document obtained by Prime Time Zone shows conversations between employees of Hospital de Clínicas de São Sebastião that point out the seriousness of the situation

According to the document, officials reported that, due to the increase in cases, a patient needed to be placed on the oxygen torpedo on December 10, after the ventilator service was not enough. However, a failure in the torpedo, on the 10th and 11th, caused the death of him and another resident of the city. Also according to the reports recorded in the play, a month later, on January 12, amid the high number of patients, the oxygen ran out and the network failed. Employees requested more material and were denied for lack of stock. On the same day, the fraction of inspired oxygen was 80/84, the ideal being 97. Another point highlighted by the document is a decree of December 11, 2020 that authorizes the transfer of R $ 6 million to the Hospital de São Sebastião Clinics. The MP also stresses that, even in the midst of the drop in revenue caused by the pandemic, the city paved the streets at a cost of R $ 13 million and bought trucks and excavators for R $ 5 million, saying that, due to such expenses, the purchase of oxygen for the hospital will not find “obstacles (obstacles) in the municipal budget”.
