São Paulo City Hall authorizes events after 80% of the population vaccinated with the first dose – Prime Time Zone


Decree was published in the Official Gazette this Saturday and also authorizes parks to operate at regular times

The City Hall of São Paulo authorized the holding of fairs, conventions, congresses and other events, except parties, when it reaches the mark of 80% of the city’s population immunized with the first dose of vaccine against Covid-19. The decree was published in the Official Gazette this Saturday, 24. According to the latest bulletin from the city hall, 78.8% of the population of the capital has already taken the first dose. The measure provides for the holding of events as long as the participants are vaccinated and the rules and operating restrictions of the establishments provided for in the São Paulo Plan are met. The decree also determines the operation of parks and municipal sports equipment at regular times, including weekends and holidays. It is also authorized the resumption of validity and the granting of the Terms of Permission for Use for the occupation of tables, chairs and awnings on public sidewalks in bars, confectioneries, restaurants and snack bars. “The operation and service to the public of establishments that do not respect the rules and restrictions of the São Paulo Plan will be subject to the applicable penalties”, says the decree signed by the mayor Ricardo Nunes.
