According to the Municipal Health Department, follow-up is taking place by telephone and will continue until the end of the 14-day isolation period
The City Hall of Sao Paulo is monitoring two passengers who were on a flight in which a case of the Indian variant do coronavirus. The information was confirmed to the Young pan for the Municipal Health Secretariat (SMS) this Thursday, the 27th. According to a note, the Secretariat was informed about the contacts by the Coordination of Health Surveillance (Covisa) and that the duo will fulfill their isolation in São Paulo, being monitored by Health Surveillance Units (UVIS) through “periodic telephone contact during the isolation period (14 days)”, in order to identify the appearance of symptoms and signs of Covid-19. To avoid the spread of the disease, São Paulo expanded the screening of passengers coming from the Maranhao, the first Brazilian state to register cases of the variant.
