The City Hall of São Paulo perform to election from representatives of civil society to the Municipal Council of Urban Policy. Voting this Sunday, 3, takes place until 5 pm in the 32 districts of the capital and the São Paulo citizen must take the electoral title and an official identification document with photo to vote. The secretary of Urbanism and Licensing, César Azevedo, points out that the councilors monitor the execution of development policies, discuss proposals and can draft bills for the Executive. “The Municipal Council for Urban Policy, which is being elected this weekend, already exists and already has current members, who have been participating since the beginning of the planning of the Master Plan review process and deliberating on the methodology, the form of discussion with civil society. So there is already this monitoring”, he says. The elected councilors will be part of the biennium 2021 to 2023. The citizen must vote in the place corresponding to the sub-prefecture of the electoral zone. The City Hall made available, on the official website of the CMPU 2021 election, an online search system. The revision of the Master Plan depends on the approval of the São Paulo councilors. The text should be discussed in 2022.
