Parliamentarians want to assess the daily monitoring of the disease in the states and the distribution of vaccines
Senators want to install a temporary commission monitoring actions against Covid-19. The measure does not depend on the request already filed for an opening of Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) who can analyze the conduct of the federal government on pandemic. Parliamentarians want to evaluate the daily monitoring of diseases in the states and the distribution of vaccines. The author of the request to open the temporary committee, Senator Eduardo Braga (MDB-AM), considers the measure urgent. “We hope it will be installed, not so that we want to pursue or accuse anyone. We want to find out the facts ”, he said, reiterating that the possible creation of the commission already has more than 30 signatures.
The senator Randolfe Rodrigues is the author of the CPI request and points out that “there is no CPI against anyone, it is a parliamentary committee to find out the causes and omissions that occurred because of this tragedy that affects all of us Brazilians and, at that moment, has our epicenter state of Amazonas”. For him, the Amazon faces an unprecedented situation in the world. The temporary commission can be installed in the coming years, since the CPI depends on the endorsement of the President of the House, Rodrigo Pacheco.
