Posto is located in the Pinheiros region and will serve the elderly over 80 years old until 7pm, as well as the units of Pacaembu, Anhembi, Boas Novas Church and Interlagos Circuit
To expand vaccination against Covid-19 in elderly people over 80 years old, the Municipal Health Secretariat of São Paulo (SMS), through the Health Surveillance Coordination, opened another drive-thru post this Sunday, 28. It is located at Clube Hebraica, in the region of Pine trees. The entrance is through the parking lot of the club, on Rua Doutor Alceu de Assis and the immunization runs until 7 pm, as well as at the stations of Pacaembu, of the Church of Boas Novas, in Vila Prudente, of Anhembi and of the Autódromo de Interlagos. The drive-thru located at the Neo Química Arena, the Corinthians stadium, will operate until 5pm. Around 11:30 am on this Sunday, there was no traffic record in any of these regions, unlike this Saturday, 27, where congestion was recorded early due to vaccination at the Pacaembu stadium.
During the visit of the governor of the State of São Paulo, João Doria, at the Charles Miller Square post, an elderly man said he had to wait five hours in the car to get the vaccine. Other elderly people also complained about the wait, saying they had waited three hours to receive the immunization. In response, Doria said that registering on the website “Vacina Já”, of the state government, speeds up the process, considering that the bureaucratic part before the vaccination takes about 10 minutes. THE City Hall of São Paulo expects to immunize about 140,000 elderly people in the age group currently covered. From this Monday, those who are over 80 and have not yet had the vaccine, can attend one of the 468 Basic Health Units (UBS) spread across the city.
