American businessman Elon Musk is trying to create a new city called Starbase at the launch site of SpaceX not Texas, US.

SpaceX’s Texas facility is located in Boca Chica Village – a city without legal personality in the extreme south of the state, close to Brownsville. The company has been developing its Starship rocket and testing prototypes there since 2014.

However, according to the Insider, Musk considers that a city would cover “a very bigger ”than the village.

The news of the possible creation of a city by the founder of SpaceX was announced by Elon Musk himself this Tuesday at Twitter. “To raise the city of Starbase, Texas, ”he wrote.

The information was confirmed by the judge’s office in Cameron County, where Boca Chica is located, which corroborated Musk’s plans to create a city there.

“In the past few days, Cameron County has been officially approached by SpaceX regarding Elon Musk’s interest in incorporating the village of Boca Chica into the city of Starbase, Texas. Earlier today, the Cameron County Commissioners’ Court was informed about SpaceX’s efforts, ”reads a statement sent to the newspaper.

However, for now, there is still no city called Starbase. Local authorities have warned that Musk will need to make a formal request before the incorporation process can begin.

“If SpaceX and Elon Musk want to follow this path, they must comply with all state incorporation statutes,” he said. Eddie Treviño Jr., county judge. “Cameron County will process all appropriate petitions in accordance with applicable law.”

SpaceX is currently creating its colossal new steel launch system, called Starship-Super Heavy, to one day send manned missions to the Moon and Mars. Musk, who founded SpaceX in 2002, wants the vehicle to have 120 meters high and be fully and quickly reusable. The system could also transport people between points on Earth at super-fast speeds.

Boca Chica, where SpaceX is now launching prototypes of Starship on test flights, it does not have a public water system – although it has electricity. A preliminary document released by the FAA revealed in January that SpaceX may also be planning to drill “Up to five natural gas wells” and build gas-powered power plants at its Boca Chica facilities.
