Minister was drawn to analyze the PDT action that questions the act of the new president of the Chamber of Deputies
Minister Dias Toffoli, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), gave Arthur Lira (PP-AL) 10 days to provide information on the decision that annulled the formation of the Rossi Whale bloc (MDB-SP) and excluded parties that supported him in the formation of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies. Toffoli was drawn to analyze the action filed by the PDT, which requires the suspension of Lira’s act.
In the petition, the PDT states that “the decision made by the President of the Chamber of Deputies highlights the authoritarian character that will guide the mandate, notably because, in practice, the decision of Federal Deputy Arthur Lira allows 05 (five) of the 06 (six) main seats on the Board of Directors are occupied by members of your political group. In other words, Federal Deputy Arthur Lira’s allies will occupy the main administrative positions and the two vice-presidencies ”.
In his decision, Toffoli also allowed the Attorney General’s Office to participate in the action and asked for an opinion from the Attorney General’s Office.
