KABUL: A magnitude 4.01 earthquake shook the Hindu Kush region of Kabul, 277 kilometers from the Afghan city of Kabul, on Thursday morning. The epicenter was reported at 4.9 on the Richter scale, according to the Geological Survey. The quake struck at a depth of 97 km in the Hindu Kush region. The quake sent shockwaves through the Hindu Kush region. The epicenter was reported below the Pacific Ocean floor, however; no tsunami alert was issued for New Zealand, Australia.
