New Delhi: 4.5 crore corona vaccines made in India will be sent to Pakistan. National Health Services Federal Secretary Aamir Ashraf Khawaja told the Public Accounts Committee that the vaccines were coming to Pakistan as part of the United GAVI Alliance. Gavi is a vaccine alliance. The Alliance will help vaccinate half of the world’s children to protect them from deadly diseases. Gavie has been helping Pakistan even during the Corona epidemic.

Gavie signed an agreement in September last year to provide corona vaccines to Pakistan. Ashraf Khawaja said that out of the total 4.5 crore doses of the vaccine, 1.6 crore doses will reach Pakistan by this June. When asked by Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed where the vaccines were coming from, Khawaja said the Kovil Shield produced by the Serum Institute was coming from Kovax of India.
